Highlights include:
- The Grand Pacific and Margerie Glaciers nearly merge at the end of Tarr Inlet forming a wall of ice. On a clear day, you can see 15,230-foot Mt. Fairweather on the Alaska/Canada boarder.
- The Johns Hopkins Glacier is found among a cathedral of mountains. This actively calving tidewater glacier creates so many icebergs, the Inlet in which it lies has become an important seal pup ground and receives special protection from the National Park Service.

National Park Service Rangers. In partnership with the U. S. National Park Service, every sailing to Glacier Bay National Park includes an onboard visit by a National Park Ranger. Spending the day onboard, these visiting rangers help narrate the complex geographic story that unfolds as your ship sails north towards the glaciers. From the history of the bay's discovery by Captain Vancouver to modern scientific studies, the National Park Ranger is the expert on them all.
